Ashton Care Pantry

The Ashton Care Pantry was established to give back to the community and help solve food insecurity issues for the residents of Ashton, Franklin Grove, and Lee Center. The pantry is stocked with many basic shelf-stable items, as well as some seasonal items like farm-fresh eggs, locally grown vegetables, and a selection of locally raised and butchered meats. The Ashton Care Pantry is located at 810 Main St., behind the Ashton Village Office. The entrance is off the west parking lot.

NOTICE: As of September 1, 2022, in order to provide pantry items for as many residents as possible, the Ashton Care Pantry is implementing a limit of 2 BAGS MAXIMUM PER VISIT. Thank you for understanding!

Schedule for  2024

The pantry is open on the first and third Thursday of each month from 9am-11am and from 5:00pm to 6:00pm.

Please note, additional pantry days are generally added around the holidays.

What can I do to help?

The pantry is always open to donations of unexpired, unopened, shelf stable food. Monetary donations and donations of personal care items, toiletries and cleaning supplies are also accepted. If you are looking for a way to give back to your community and help fight food insecurity, visit on a pantry day and talk to a volunteer about ways you can help! Volunteers help on pantry days to assist residents and tidy up before and after, and also on non-pantry days to re-organized and re-stock shelves and take inventory of supplies.
