The Village of Ashton sends out quarterly bills to residents via USPS mail on January 1st, April 1st, July 1st and October 1st.
An example of a bill can be found below. Bills are mailed on a yellow postcard.
(A) Service address is the street address where the water meter is located.
(B) The billing period or quarter.
(C) Shows how much water the meter read as used in a given billing period.
(D) This is the breakdown of the bill. The Water and Sewer charges are based on usage recorded in a water meter. The Refuse and Capital Improvement fees are flat unless there is an unpaid balance, late penalties applied, or a credit on the account.
(E) Total Due Amount is listed along with the late penalties and due date.
(F) Notes from the Village. Please see Section II of the Ordinance for Overdue Bill Policy for more information about $10 material fee for bills paid after the due date.
(G) Including the remit stub is helpful when processing your payment.
(H) Mailing address is where the bill will be sent to. Please make sure to update your information – especially if you receive mail in a PO Box that is not on file with the Village.
