Village Clerk

The Village Clerk is appointed by the Village President. Duties of the Village Clerk Include:

  • Attending all official meetings of the Village Board, and preparing the official minutes.
  • Notifying media and public of all official meetings and official notices.
  • Keeper of the village seal and attest for all ordinances, resolutions, contracts and bonds of the
    village, including licenses, permits, and other documents.
  • Acts as the Local Election Authority.
  • Custodian of all village funds.
  • Collector and recorder of all money paid into the Village.
  • Distribute quarterly utility bills. January, April, July, October
  • Keeper of cemetery records, lot sales and burial coordination.
  • FOIA Officer
  • Perform other duties as required by county, state and federal law.
